Is the preview before posting function fixed?

I noticed that the "preview before posting" checkbox is still on messages. Is it fixed? If not, can we get the checkbox taken off until it is.

In other words, lead us not into temptation.

Recently, some time in the past three days, I wrote a post, checked preview, the post looked fine so I sent it, and poof, all my message was irrecoverably gone. Is that what the preview function is supposed to do? I hope not.

Hmmm well perhaps it was on a dark and stormy night and ZAP! a bolt of lightening struck at the same moment you clicked the preview button... *Sorry Bob just couldn't resist....

Admins, or cls, there seems to be a difference of opinion here?
In your opinion, is the preview functionworking as it was supposed to?
If not, will it be fixed?
Because of it's incidious "mind of its own" will it remain as an option for the unweary?
Will we be notified when it is changed?
